Elements Of Power^2 Prologue“Survival ensures competition.
Ideals seek to become truth.
Purpose becomes a weapon.
Its fuel… conviction.”
Three Space- alternate universe.
This universe of infinite possibilities is where an entirely different kind of life began in the form of elements.
Elements possess humanoid shape, but have many distinct differences. They possess no mouths, no noses and no ears. Rather, their skin absorbs smells, and they broadcast thoughts to each other and receive the sounds of their environment in the same telepathic manner. “Private parts” are unknown to them just as reproduction is, meaning there can only be one of each type of element. Most importantly, each element is gifted with a special power, which ranges from wielding fire, flight, to commanding the atmosphere itself.
With their many powers, these elements exist in relative peace, interacting with each other in their world, Axiom. Peace is not permanent for the elements, however, and after

September 13, 2015---Lattice Palace, Fluorine’s chamber
Morning came. Chlorine stood up in bed, wide awake. His head hurt as if he had had a bad dream. Did he have a bad dream? He walked to the main chamber.
[Chlorine]: “Sis’! Big sis’!”
[Fluorine]: “I am here, Chlorine.”
She walked out of Astatine’s chamber.
[Fluorine]: “Sorry. I was watching over you, but I felt an urge to come here and pay honor to our fallen siblings.”
[Chlorine]: “So what happened… it was real?”
[Fluorine]: “You tell me. You were there.”
Chlorine thought back and remembered what happened in the Nitrogen Forest. He had obliterated Astatine… should he tell her? No, she had enough to think about and no time for his incompetence.
[Chlorine]: “It was real.”
[Fluorine]: “Can you tell us more about it?”
[Chlorine]: “Sure, sis’.”
Elements Of Power - Chapter 9Chapter 9- When Luck Runs Out
September 12, 2015---Silicon Valley, valley entrance
While Selenium and Fluorine were having their showdown, a different kind of encounter was underway.
After what seemed like an endless amount of walking and following, Bromine had arrived at the village of the survivors. He could see Gold and Silver speaking to a small element who must be Hydrogen. Behind her was the familiar form of, could it be... Oxygen!? Bromine stepped out of his hiding place amongst the rocks for a better look.
[Chromium]: “MERCURY! A HALOGEN IS HERE!!! MERCURY! MERCURYYY!!”
The little element, who had been hiding on lookout duty, spun around and ran back to the village to warn the others. Bromine considered his options. If he ran back to the base, the survivors would get away. Fluorine would not approve of that. There were very few homes in the village so he believed there would be little resistance to a take-over by force. He decided on this plan a

September 6, 2015---Silicon Valley, Family 12 Residence
A day had passed since Silver’s battle with Polonium. He had spent some of that time analyzing alternative techniques that could help him beat her if they met again. This had given him an idea that he would try out. He knocked on the door of the metal home. Mercury answered.
[Mercury]: “What do you want, Silver? You should be looking for protons with my sister and the rest of your team.”
[Silver]: “Gold said you were the only element in the village who could teach me a particular sword technique.”
[Mercury]: “Oh? What technique is this?”
[Silver]: “I want to learn how to dual-wield.”
[Mercury]: “Come inside.”
Silver entered the house.
[Mercury]: “You know that dual-wielding is not simply using two swords at the same time. There is more. Your thoughts must be able to handle two battles, two different attack pla

Unknown time---Phosphorous Fields
A world of gray grass, this is what Polonium was seeing. Numerous elements walked around her as if she didn’t exist. There was Cobalt, Zirconium, and Nitrogen. Weren’t they all obliterated? She reached a hand out to touch one of them, but her hand went straight through their body. Polonium saw Bromine appear from out of the ground and set the hill on fire. The elements fled in terror from the growing blaze. Gravity seemed to intensify as she somehow found herself lying down. She realized she was not Polonium; she was some orange-skinned element. Calcium maybe? The real Polonium was walking towards her. Once Polonium arrived, she silently grabbed one of her swords and stabbed into her victim’s chest. The world spun into chaos.

August 26, 2015---Nitrogen Forest, northern area
Axiom was a world with two distinct seasons: wet and cold, both marked by the first rain storm and first snow storm respectively. The elements celebrated these occasions with their so-called Solstice Days. Gifts would be exchanged, snow sculptures would be made, and an overall feeling of happiness would pervade the atmosphere. For the survivors, they needed such a happy time after all they had been through.
Silver had decided prior to the event that he would get Rubidium a gift in an effort to help gain her friendship. He recalls his previous conversation with Carbon a few weeks ago.
[Silver]: “I need your help, Carbon.”
[Carbon]: “How may I be of service?”
[Silver]: “I read in one of Copper’s comics that giving flowers is highly symbolic. I am trying to find a suitable flower.”
[Copper]: “What a nice idea! Of course flowers make the best gif

August 2, 2015---Nitrogen Forest, flower fields
Hydrogen was the kind of element who always went to bed and woke up early enough to catch the morning’s light purple view. She was the smallest element in the periodic table and arguably the cutest as well, always trying to get the approval of her fellow elements. Today, she had planned to wake up early and pick flowers from the nearby Nitrogen Forest to give to Silver. It was customary for her to give all newly restored elements a bouquet of flowers, and she had been neglecting to do that for Silver for too long.
She picked flowers to her core’s content. The grass around her rustled, drawing her suspicion. No, she was safe. Mercury was always on the watch so the survivors could feel better about their safety. Why was she suddenly having this creepy feeling then?
She found herself running from the forest to the front of Family 11’s residence. Not wanting to wake anyone, she

July 28, 2015---Silicon Valley, storehouse
It was a windy day as Gold and Silver were finishing a training session. Gold’s double scythe, Vivi, flashed brightly as the golden metal worked to counter Silver’s own sword.
[Gold]: “Focus on both edges! Pay attention to your surroundings. You aren’t outside, you know! Not bad!”
[Silver]: “I still feel awkward in my motions.”
[Gold]: “You’re still learning. It will become more natural as you train.”
[Gold]: “Hmm... That should be enough for now. Let’s break.”
The two elements returned back to their house, a small metal dome-shaped building,
[Silver]: “It sure gets boring around here.”
[Gold]: “That’s probably because all you’ve put your time into is training. You should find a hobby!”
[Silver]: “Hobby? What’s that?”
Elements Of Power - Chapter 3Chapter 3- Vanishing Act
July 20, 2015---Carbon Forest, abandoned village
It was midday when Family 16 and Family 17 finally found the village that the survivors once called home. Contrary to Fluorine’s hopes, the elements had not left anything behind except a few empty wooden huts. Most of the houses, including the storehouse, had been dismantled.
[Fluorine]: “They must have been in a rush when they left.”
Chlorine and Astatine, the remaining two members of Family 17, emerged from the forest. Chlorine was short, slender, and of a green color that made him look like a reptile. Astatine was a turquoise element whose body looked like it was made of gelatin. She had several orange spikes protruding from her legs, rear, and head.
[Chlorine]: “No footprints on the ground.”
[Astatine]: “Hm… It remains to be seen how these elements fled the scene.”
[Fluorine]: “Iodine, give me an aerial view of the forest. Let me know
